Recipe: Holly Leaf Sugar Cookies

For as long as I can remember my family has been making these sugar cookies. From Christmas and Easter to my sister's wedding, they have been made for every occasion.
And now I am sharing them with you so that they can become a tradition for your family, too.










Holly Leaf Sugar Cookies
1 Cup butter
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 large eggs
1 1/2 Cups sugar
3 1/2 Cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cream of tarter

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs and beat. Blend dry ingredients into creamed mixture. Chill 1 hour. On floured surface roll 1/8 inch thick. Using cookie cutter, cut out into shapes. Bake at 375 degrees for about 8 to 10 minutes.
